NeoChat Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are a legally binding agreement between you and Echoblend Technologies Pvt Ltd (operating as Neodhan) for access to NeoChat. By ticking the box that you have read these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and by tapping Allow, you confirm that you are 18 or older, that you have read both documents in full, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use NeoChat. Site-wide terms for the website and loan journeys: neodhan.com/terms. If you have a sanctioned loan, that loan agreement controls if there is a conflict.
1. The parties and the service
Neodhan provides NeoChat as a business messaging and servicing channel linked to loan applications originated through Neodhan field staff, partners, or the Neodhan customer app. NeoChat lets a customer and authorised staff exchange messages and documents about an identified application, view servicing status, add a co-borrower the customer chooses, and use optional phone permissions described in the Privacy Policy. NeoChat is not a bank, not a payment system, and not a marketplace. It does not itself sanction or disburse a loan. Credit decisions, pricing, and legal agreements sit in the Neodhan lending process and in documents you sign there.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be 18 or older and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. Customer access is meant for the mobile number used on a Neodhan loan journey. Staff access is only for people Neodhan has created as users in the loan management system. You must keep exclusive control of the SIM and OTP for that number. You are responsible for activity that occurs after a valid OTP on your number. Notify support@neodhan.com promptly if you lose the phone or believe someone else received your OTP. We may suspend an account that is inactive, disputed, or used in a way that harms customers, staff, or the integrity of loan servicing.
3. How you get access
Installing NeoChat from the store does not by itself finish an account. You must verify the mobile number with OTP. A borrower whose application was created by a field sales associate can sign in with that same mobile once OTP succeeds; the loan rooms you see are those the backend associates with that number. A staff member can sign in with OTP only after Neodhan has added that person in the LMS. First-time customer OTP may create the customer login record if it did not already exist. You still must accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy in NeoChat before using the app on this phone.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to harass, threaten, or impersonate staff or other customers; not to send unlawful, defamatory, or sexually explicit content; not to upload malware; not to attempt to break, scrape, or reverse engineer the app; not to spam referrals; and not to use NeoChat to circumvent KYC, credit, or collections processes. You will not grant a permission on behalf of someone else, and you will not share another person's identity documents without a lawful basis. We may remove content and suspend access if you breach these Terms or if law requires it.
5. Permissions on this phone
By tapping Allow after you tick the box, you instruct NeoChat to request Contacts and Location from Android or iOS so that People search, pins, live share (only while NeoChat is open), and staff attendance can work. Camera and gallery are requested later, only when you attach media. The operating system may still show its own dialogs; you can deny those system prompts, in which case the related feature stays off and chat remains available. You change or withdraw those system permissions in your phone Settings. NeoChat will not keep a second "skip consent" path inside the app after you have accepted these Terms. There is no in-app Privacy & signals dashboard; Settings on the phone is the place to change Contacts, Location, Camera, and Gallery.
6. Referrals and promotions
If NeoChat shows offers, top-ups, or referral rewards (including any NeoCoins or similar), those benefits apply only after a successful referred journey as described in the Offers screen and in any then-current promotion rules. We may change or withdraw a promotion. Rewards are not interest, not a loan, not guaranteed, and not a substitute for any statutory benefit.
7. Records, evidence and communications
Messages and files in NeoChat may form part of Neodhan's servicing file. They may be used in internal review, quality, training, audits, and, where lawful, in regulatory or court processes. Do not treat a chat bubble as a registered legal notice, a variation of your loan contract, or a waiver of Neodhan's rights unless we confirm that in writing through an authorised channel. You should keep copies of important documents you upload.
8. Intellectual property
The NeoChat and Neodhan names, logos, design, and software are owned by Echoblend Technologies Pvt Ltd or its licensors. You keep rights in content you lawfully upload. You grant Neodhan a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to provide the service, to comply with law, and to defend legal claims. You must not copy, scrape, or commercially exploit the app or other users' data.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
NeoChat is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We aim for high availability but do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device and OS version. Network failures, Play/App Store delays, and device settings are outside our full control. Informational status in chat may lag the loan management system.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Neodhan is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of NeoChat, from your device or network, or from misuse of an OTP. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where such a limit is prohibited. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of NeoChat in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the greater of one thousand Indian rupees or the amount you paid us specifically for NeoChat in that period (NeoChat is typically provided without a separate consumer fee).
11. Termination
You may stop using NeoChat at any time and request deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, if the mobile number is disputed, if required by law or a regulator, or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) continue after termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any non-excludable consumer protection that applies to you, courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction. You may also use the grievance channel in the Privacy Policy. Nothing here limits a statutory right that cannot be waived.
